James read Economics and Accounting at Bristol University before working as a graduate at Touche Ross, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.

He worked in a variety of accounting roles in practice and in industry, gaining a wealth of experience in financial accounts, management accounts, year end accounts, taxation and payroll, before spreading his wings to establish his own Harrogate based accounting firm.

His family have owned two successful small businesses, so he fully understands the pleasure and pain of being a small business owner.

He enjoys working with a variety of small and medium sized clients and finds no job too large or too small.
